No other rehab has a four-stage process specially designed to improve the chances of a life free from addiction. We typically consult with families and clients to design a treatment plan that best meet their needs with the time and resources available to get the full benefit of our program.
The Purpose of Sober Living
We have designed the sober living experience to fulfil our ultimate purpose: to educate our clients on how live a sane, fulfilling life without drugs or alcohol, over the course of a lifetime.
An Example of the Modern Approach
Sober living in stage three is an extension of our modern approach to recovery after primary care. It is a crucial part of the process that delivers a more effective way to recover, improving the chances of a successful life unhindered by active addiction or alcoholism.
Relapse Prevention is Just the Start
The major accomplishment that our modern treatment program seeks is a permanent change in thinking and the behaviour that arises from it.
The challenge is to begin that change in a relatively brief period of time, which is why recovery in a primary treatment setting is such hard, intensive work.
Taking time to wind down from the intensity of primary treatment while starting to embrace recovery as a personal mission is the essence of our sober living experience.
Research Supports Sober Living
Research supports the importance of living in a transitional, sober living environment after in-patient treatment. The simple fact is this: those who experienced sober living were far less likely to relapse than those who went back to their home environment directly out of primary treatment.
The Re-adjustment Strategy
Our treatment team makes sure that clients are ready for a less structured environment and can go on to navigate and enjoy life more or less on their own.
We make sure that clients have a good understanding of their typical triggers. We review the tools that we provide our clients on their way to WeCare aftercare such as the 12 spokes of recovery. We provide a detailed daily schedule as a guide on how to best use their time. Our clients get to live with others who are in the same stage of recovery so that they can support one another and re-learn the value of healthy relationships.
In addition, we make sure that our clients get ongoing help such as weekly trips to recovery meetings, a weekly group counselling session and 24/7 support for any emotional or practical problem that may arise.
And most important, clients come to understand that this is the beginning of the joyful life they have worked so hard to attain.
Our Location is Ideal
Our sober living house is located in Bang Saen, a vibrant, young university/beach town which gives clients easy access to a fitness centre, shopping, restaurants, and Bang Saen beach, and if necessary, access to Burappha university hospital.
The house itself is modern, with all the amenities one could ask for. We provide 24/7 security and laundry services to help ease the transition. Clients get to take care of themselves, however, by shopping and cooking their own meals. We do require that they be home safe and sound by 9:00 PM, and we also have a support member live in the house as an extra measure of safety.
After all, we call ourselves SafeHouse Rehab for a reason.
