Excursions at SafeHouse Rehab
Our central location gives us access to a variety of attractions. Clients get to choose an excursion trip on a weekly basis, allowing them to experience all that Thailand has to offer.
Excursions at SafeHouse Rehab are usually on a Saturday, as well as a half-day excursion during the week. Effective treatment at any good rehab centre is intense and demanding, so it is important to counter that with good down-time. Although we have a water park, steam room and sauna, extensive fitness facilities and walking and cycle options in our complex, we feel it important to get out and about regularly. The town of Ban Bueng itself, where SafeHouse is located, has some lovely temples, lakes and gardens to utilise, but these would be more on a daily basis not considered ‘excursions’.
Excursion attractions within an hour’s easy drive of SafeHouse include Khao Kheow Open Zoo, ‘Flight Of The Gibbon’ adventure park, Saithip Butterfly Park and Sri Racha Tiger Zoo. In the golf/country club sector are Amata Spring Country Club, Panpakon Riverside Country Club, Thai Country Club, and The Country Club.
Slightly further afield, but still easily accessible as excursions from SafeHouse Rehab on a day trip, are Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens (including dance, martial arts and unbelievable elephant shows), Silverlake, and the Sanctuary Of Truth.
Our closest beach is the very attractive and small resort town of Ban Saeng just a 40-minute drive away. This beach has a lovely trendy feel to it, with fantastic coffee shops and restaurants to choose from. The beach is golden, soft sand.
The Capital City of Bangkok, with tourist options too numerous to mention, is within an hour’s drive and Chonburi City, with its extensive shopping malls, multiscreen cinemas and everything else expected of a city is within half an hour drive.
We will make full use of all these options on a rota basis, and depending on the collective wishes of the staff and clients. The client will look forward to excursions whilst staying at SafeHouse Rehab, and travel will be in our own vehicles, carefully driven by our in-house driver. As far as meals out are concerned, Thailand is famed for its eclectic National and International dining options. All the meals we enjoy will be varied, freshly prepared and scrumptious, and we will always consider any special food requirements in our choices.
